Don White has been instructing well over 20 years an has attained his ACA L4 Open Water Coastal Instructor Certification with Dale Williams and Gordon Brown.   He was recognized by the ACA and named Kayaker of the Month in 2014.  Don is easily communicates his passion as a multi-discipline Instructor, and is also Certified in Sit On Top Surfing and SUP.

Fern White began her paddling career over 25 years ago.  She attained her ACA L3 Coastal Instructor Certification and added the ACA Traditional Endorsement, Rolling Endorsement, Adaptive Paddler Instructor Certification, Trip Leader Training Endorsement, Sit On Top Surfing and SUP Instructor Certification to her achievements.

Steve Bleezarde is an ACA Coastal Kayak Open Water Level 4 Instructor and passionate about teaching at all levels. He’s been paddling since moving to James Island from the Northeast in 2001. He’s built a wooden kayak and plans to do so again. An outdoor enthusiast, he has enjoyed over 30 years working and volunteering with the scouting program, the Sierra Club and the Audubon Society.

Sue Kershaw, an ACA Open Water Coastal Kayaking Instructor and Coastal Kayaking Instructor Trainer has a well-earned reputation as a strokes nerd.  With a calm, fun, and effective teaching style, Sue provides thorough and insightful instruction tailored to each individual.  Sue is also a Charleston Master Naturalist and Certified Interpretive Guide.  She is passionate about infecting others with a love for nature.  When you join Sue on a nature trip, you will learn something that amazes you.

Scott Brown Is an ACA L4 Open Water Coastal Kayak Instructor that has been paddling for 20 years. He has paddled the East and West Coast to include Hawaii and Alaska. He enjoys all aspects of the sport, but his passion is developing confident paddle sports leaders focusing on planning, risk management and navigation. He enjoys surfing and is a Greenland Kayak enthusiast building and paddling replicas of these amazing watercraft. He also leads the partnered Incident Management Course with the United States Coast Guard semi annually for ACA and BCU Instructors and Trip Leaders.  Join him for a skills course or on a Bumpy Waters Meet Up event focused on peer to peer development of leader and paddling skills.

Tommy is an ACA Certified Guide, Level 2 Surf Instructor and Level-4 Open-Water Coastal Kayak Instructor, and a certified Wilderness First Responder. He serves as the Florida State Director of Florida’s America Canoe Association and is a TrailKeeper for the Florida Paddle Trails Association and serves on the Apalachicola RiverKeeper Board of Directors.  Tommy works to craft public policy in working with various Florida state and federal agencies to protect the environment and to make paddling as safe and accessibleHe is a 35 year veteran of wilderness expeditions, guiding, and instruction.

Jeff Atkins is a 25 year veteran Park Ranger with State Parks and County Parks. He has led outdoor programs all over South Carolina and is frequently found teaching at symposiums in the Southeast. As an Instructor for the NC Outward Bound School, he leads expeditions around several parts of the USA. Jeff holds several certifications including an ACA Level 4 Open Water Coastal Kayak Instructor, ACA Level 2 Essentials of S.U.P. Instructor, Wilderness First Responder, Leave No Trace Master Educator, and a Coastal Master Naturalist for SC.

Ashley Brown is one of only five women in the US to hold the prestigious Level 5 American Canoe Association Advanced Open Water Coastal Kayaking Certification, she teaches guests from all over the world to paddle the wetlands and off shore waters of South Carolina.  Ashley has been instrumental in the ongoing development of university level at College of Charleston in Kayaking and Expedition Kayaking.  Ashley serves as an Adjunct Professor of Coastal Kayaking in the Health Education and Human Performance Dept. and  is a Sponsored paddler for NDK/UK and Celtic Paddles.
